At Rochester Encounter we are built on three beliefs that shape who we are and what we do.
Foundational Beliefs
-
worship
Being remade in the image of our Creator through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, we humbly change our sinful thinking, turn from our sin, and surrender our agendas to Him in all areas of lifie. We praise Him for who He is and thank Him for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do in and through us (Isa.6; Jn.4).
-
Mission
Having been motivated by worship and operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we work to live on mission in all areas of life, working to make disciples of Jesus Christ who make disciples (Matt.18:16-20).
-
community
Having been motivated by worship and with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we minister to each other and to our community as the family of God in the unity that Jesus prayed for and desires (Jn.17).
